Dr. Jonathan Levitt’s conference activities in summer 2011

Dr Jonathan LevittDr. Levitt, Principle Investigator and Project Head, took an active role at ISSI in Durban in July and in CollNet in Istanbul in September. At ISSI, Dr. Levitt gave an oral presentation called ‘To what extent does the citation advantage of collaboration depend on the citation counting system?’, presented a poster called ‘Are funded articles more highly cited than unfunded articles? A preliminary investigation’ and was appointed to the Doctoral Forum Committee. As one of the five Senior Researchers on this on committee, Dr. Levitt attended the day long Doctoral Forum and gave research feedback to eight promising doctoral students in informetrics. At CollNet, Dr. Levitt gave the oral presentation ‘To what extend are funded articles more highly cited than unfunded articles?’ that took further the findings presented in ISSI poster. Dr. Levitt’s research project is funded by the Economics and Social Research Council.
